Statement From Delegate Barbara Comstock On The 13th Anniversary of September 11, 2001
McLean, VA- Today, Delegate Barbara Comstock (R-34) released the following statement marking the 13th anniversary of September 11, 2001:
"On the anniversary of September 11, 2001, we will always remember the unimaginable evil that assaulted our nation, as well as our own local community. We pray for all the husbands, wives, fathers, children, friends, and loved ones we lost and keep them always in our hearts. We also remember United States Ambassador J. Christopher Stevens and the three other Americans who lost their lives in the attack on the U.S. Consulate in Benghazi two years ago today.
"We honor and mourn the passing of the heroes who gave the ultimate sacrifice to preserve our freedom in this great nation since that time. We honor our wounded who live with their sacrifices every day, and we are forever grateful to our servicemen and women who defend our nation and keep us safe. Because of them we are truly the home of the free and the brave.
"May God always bless the United States of America and all those who defend her."
