McLean, VA- Delegate Barbara Comstock (VA-34) today issued the following statement honoring Veterans Day:

 

"On Veterans Day, we remember particularly how blessed we are to live in a country that celebrates liberty and promotes and protects freedom. Our freedoms are protected around the clock by the greatest fighting force the world has ever known. Our way of life would not be possible without their work and sacrifice and dedicated service to our country. 

 

Today, we honor their sacrifices and thank our veterans for their service.  Saying 'thank you' is important, but there's always more that we can do for those whose sacrifices preserve the heritage of freedom. In Virginia, we strive to be the most veteran friendly state by providing jobs to our veterans, supporting their families and keeping our military and national security strong. 

  

"We also pray for those currently serving in our armed forces, that they return home safe, to be honored on this day.

 

"May God bless our veterans and their families today and every day."
