The Comstock for Delegate campaign is currently searching for middle school, high school and college students who are eager to learn about grassroots campaigning and public service. Student interns will gain knowledge about the political process and learn to become adept communicators through hands-on experience with Delegate Barbara Comstock and her constituents in the 34th District of Virginia.

These internship opportunities for Fall 2013 are open to any qualifying student and applications are accepted on a rolling basis. Previous campaign experience is helpful, but not required. Responsibilities and assignments will be age appropriate. Hours are flexible, but students must be able to commit to at least 5 hours per week.  This internship will take place at Delegate Comstock's Campaign Headquarters located in McLean and the surrounding district.  The 34th District is comprised of communities in both Fairfax and Loudoun County, including McLean, Vienna, Great Falls, Potomac Falls, and Sterling.

Eligible students will be provided with academic credit, service hours, or simply an unique, learning experience. While these positions begin unpaid, there are opportunities for advancement including the potential for part-time employment.   Upon completion of the program, a letter of recommendation to a future employer or college will also be provided.
