MWAA To Hold Three Public Meetings on Dulles
Toll Road Fee Increases
Dear
Friends,
I have heard from many of you in the
past few months regarding proposed fee increases on the Dulles Toll Road, and
wanted to direct you to a recent press release from the Metropolitan Washington
Airport Authority.
Currently,
the Metropolitan Washington Airport Authority is having a 30 day public comment
period about the proposed toll increases on the Dulles Toll Road. MWAA reports
that currently, the average commuter in a 2-axle vehicle pays $2.25 at the main
plaza and ramp tolls. This fee is expected to increase to $2.75 in 2013, $3.50
in 2014, and $4.50 in 2015.Collected toll monies will continue to help fund the
operating costs of the Toll Road and the construction of the Dulles Corridor
Metrorail Project.
