POTHOLE REPAIRS
Governor McDonnell announced yesterday that the Virginia
Department of Transportation will be making pothole repairs their number one
priority throughout the month of March.
After the record breaking winter the Commonwealth of Virginia
has experienced, numerous potholes have formed. This happens when water gets
into the pavement. The water freezes and expands, therefore, damaging the
pavement. It creates a safety hazard for vehicles especially on high volume
roads.
VDOT will be repairing the roads by priority (size and
location of pothole). To report one in your area, click here or call 1-800-367-7623.
