Delegate Barbara Comstock of the 34th district of Virginia issued the following statement commemorating Martin Luther King, Jr. Day:
"Today we honor the life and the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. to make his dream of freedom, equality and opportunity for all a reality in our country. On this day of service, may Dr. King's strong faith and powerful words remind us of those timeless principles that guide us 'until justice rolls down like waters and righteousness like a mighty stream.' On this day when we honor the memory of a great civil rights leader, let us recommit ourselves to the cause of freedom and the dream of a nation with true equality of opportunity."
