Governor McDonnell Congratulates Justice Kinser on Her Investiture as First Female Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of Virginia

RICHMOND- Governor Bob McDonnell today released the following statement congratulating Justice Cynthia D. Kinser on her investiture as first female Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of Virginia.

"It is my esteemed honor to congratulate Justice Cynthia D. Kinser on her historic investiture as the first female Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of Virginia.  Justice Kinser has the respect of her colleagues and is well suited to oversee the judicial branch of state government.  Justice Kinser has demonstrated an objective professionalism through her distinguished career and Virginia will be well-served by her legal acumen in this new capacity.  I have the highest confidence that she will continue to uphold the rule of law and Constitution of Virginia as Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of Virginia.”
