August Campaign Update
Team,
We hope you are all enjoying your summer. I'm the campaign manager for Comstock for Delegate and I wanted to write to give you an update on our campaign.
Grassroots
Despite the fact that it is summer time and a lot people are traveling, our momentum and support has continued to grow. From McLean Day all the way to the 4th of July and now into August, we have continued to grow our team and energy and with your continued help - we're going to win in November. I'd also like to give a shout out to our Langley High School Internship Team and The Greater McLean Republican Women. Your help on a daily basis for the past 2 months has made a huge difference and we appreciate it!
All told, we have had over 65 volunteers come out and help us move closer to victory in November. That is a fantastic number for early August. With that said, we have just three months until we elect the next Delegate from the 34th District and we need your support to win, so I hope you will click here to sign up to make phone calls or knock on doors with us. Knock on doors this Saturday and come to our August 10th fundraising event with Newt Gingrich for free!
New Office
We've opened an office in Balducci's shopping center in McLean. The address is 6649A Old Dominion Drive, McLean, VA 22101. We are here every day from 10am to 4pm making phone calls, stuffing envelopes, and doing other office activities before we head out to knock on doors. We are having a lot of fun on this campaign and I hope you'll consider joining us!
Fundraising
Our goal has always been to raise enough money to win and I'm very happy with our results so far. We already have over 600 donors and we're growing that number every day. We've been lucky enough to have distinguished residents of our district like Vince Callahan, Frank Wolf, Jim Nicholson, and Fred Thompson host events in honor of our campaign. As many of you know, we're having a fundraiser with Newt Gingrich on August 10th at 8am at the home of John Vogt. The house is very close to the GW Parkway for those of you heading to Washington, D.C. that morning for work so be sure to stop by and say hello.
With that said, we have a long way to go. Our opponent will receive hundreds of thousands of dollars from The Democratic Party of Virginia and labor unions just like she did in 2007. We are relying on people like you who live and work in or around the 34th District to make sure that we have enough money to win this seat. We can't do it without your help. Can you make a donation of $1,000, $500, $250, $100 or even $50 to help us win this seat?
I'd like to thank every person who has either volunteered or donated to this campaign (or both!). Your help has created a buzz that the entire Commonwealth is watching and we are looking forward to the next 91 days of this campaign.
Best Regards,
Sean Harrison
